The Fairview Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-38 victory over Mountain Range on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Fairview as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Fairview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Remy Tolar led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tolar has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Nuttle, who scored ten points along with three steals and three blocks.
Mountain Range lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bella Lucero, who scored seven points. Josieraye Running Wolf was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Mountain Range struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fairview pulled down 23 offensive rebounds.
Fairview's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Mountain Range, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview will face off against Fossil Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Range, they will head out on the road to take on Prairie View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie View is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
