In what's become a running theme this season, the Carver Tigers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 63-24 stomp they got at home against Huntsville. The win was just what Carver needed coming off of a 72-42 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Jazmin Thornton, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Aubri Wilkins was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Carver's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Huntsville, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
Carver and Buford will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Buford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 628 points over their last nine contests. As for Huntsville, they will be playing at home against Grissom at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grissom is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
