The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vandegrift, who took down 271st ranked Marble Falls, 37-7. Christian Reyes ran for 216 yards in the win.
Cedar Park extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region IV District 25 this week by beating Rouse, 27-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Raiders' dynamic duo of Justin Pelt and Billy McCrary proved tough for Cedar Park to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pelt threw for 245 yards and McCrary had 93 yards receiving. Logan Kinder helped Rouse's passing attack out by catching five balls for 58 yards.
The Mustangs' Mike Richardson and Garrett Gray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 2007 yards this season, while Gray has 57 catches for 835 yards. Caleb Woodward from Leander leads the league in rushing with 946 yards.
The Lions' Woodward needs only 54 yards against Dripping Springs next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Vipers take on Chris Ross' team. At the moment, Vandegrift is in fifth, while the Timberwolves are in third.
Drew Sanders' team moved up to 237 from 295 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region IV District 25. The Vipers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Marble Falls 37-7.
