Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bedford). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ypsilanti Grizzlies a 25-0 shutout on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Kicking Mules in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won five in a row.

Griffin Brush made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Brush was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bedford let Nick Coberley and Devin Rayburn run wild. Coberley went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Rayburn went 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those four hits gave Coberley a new career-high. Andrew Kuebbeler was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Bedford's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Ypsilanti, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will welcome Pioneer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ypsilanti, they will host Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
