After three games on the road, Escambia Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Meadowview Christian Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Escambia Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meadowview Christian in Alabama (Escambia Academy is ranked 173rd, while Meadowview Christian is ranked 428th).
Last Thursday, Escambia Academy strolled past Wilcox Academy with points to spare, taking the game 47-33.
Escambia Academy had a senior duo take command as Charlie Sasser scored 20 points and Quinton Odom scored 19 points. Sasser continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rontae Watson, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Meadowview Christian, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They took a serious blow against Cornerstone Christian on January 4th, falling 73-41.
Escambia Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Meadowview Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Escambia Academy against Meadowview Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 86-19 victory.
