Volleyball Recap: Meade Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Meade unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the South Central Timberwolves by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Meade sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-14, 18-25, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Kenadie Alexander and Jaylee Eckhoff, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Sayler Stapleton and her 22 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Meade's loss dropped their record down to 19-17. As for South Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-17 record this season.

Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against South Gray on the 25th.
