The Thompson Tommies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Lisbon 56-27 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Thompson, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Despite the defeat, Lisbon had strong showings from Kyra Haecherl, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Emerson Schultz, who scored eight points. Haecherl scored a full 33.3% of Lisbon's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Thompson pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lisbon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Thompson will head out on the road to face off against Central Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Cass is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Lisbon, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Kindred at 7:30 p.m.
