The Bismarck Indians had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-62 victory over Delta on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Sven Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double on 34 points and nine rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bismarck's points. Another player making a difference was Daven Miller, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Bismarck's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Delta, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bismarck will challenge Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bismarck has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
