Cathedral Catholic has gone a perfect 4-0 against Imperial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cathedral Catholic Dons will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Imperial Tigers at 1:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Cathedral Catholic 2, Imperial 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Cathedral Catholic gave up the first runs last Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Bonita Vista. The Dons haven't had any issues with the Barons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sophia Clark tossed a big game, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Sina Talataina was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kayla Walton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Imperial waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Norsemen.
Jayden Rutledge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Rutledge was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Rutledge wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clarissa Davila, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Davila brought in this season.
Imperial pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cathedral Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Cathedral Catholic took their win against Imperial when the teams last played back in April of 2017 by a conclusive 7-0. Does Cathedral Catholic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Imperial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
