After both having extra time off, the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars and the Legacy Longhorns will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pinecrest Academy Cadence comes in on six and Legacy on three.
On Wednesday, Pinecrest Academy Cadence got the win against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted against the Pirate since September 1, 2021.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-16.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alessandra Chamnong, who had 14 digs and four aces. Those 14 digs gave Chamnong a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Arnold, who had 25 digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Pinecrest Academy Cadence was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Legacy earned a 3-1 win over Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Legacy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 13-25, 25-16.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence's record now sits at 23-16. As for Legacy, their record is now 11-17.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Pinecrest Academy Cadence has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence came up short against Legacy when the teams last played back in August, falling 2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
