The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-64 win over Orangewood Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Cetin Seles was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ahern, who scored 16 points.
Capistrano Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Orangewood Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capistrano Valley Christian will take on Pacifica Christian/Orange County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pacifica Christian/Orange County will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Orangewood Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairmont Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairmont Prep will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
