Ridgeline is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Bear River, who was ranked 25th at the time (Ridgeline was ranked fifth). Ridgeline was the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Bear River on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Riverhawks, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Ben Thompson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Thompson was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Clark, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Tyson Smith was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
