There's no place like home for the Florence/Henry Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past Great Plains Lutheran with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 59-41. Florence/Henry pushed the score to 46-25 by the end of the third, a deficit Great Plains Lutheran cut but never quite recovered from.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madeline Prahl, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Prahl has scored all season. Olivia Holmen was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Florence/Henry's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Great Plains Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
Florence/Henry will head out on the road to face off against Wagner at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wagner presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Florence/Henry in South Dakota (Wagner is ranked third, while Florence/Henry is ranked 28th). As for Great Plains Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Elkton/Lake Benton at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
