St. Dominic is 0-10 against St. Anthony since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The St. Dominic Bayhawks will head out on the road to square off against the St. Anthony's Friars at 5:00 p.m. St. Dominic is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, St. Dominic didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Holy Trinity, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win. Given St. Dominic's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Holy Trinity is ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, St. Anthony's didn't have too much trouble with Holy Trinity on the road last Tuesday as they won 51-33.
St. Dominic's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for St. Anthony's, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
St. Dominic might still be hurting after the 56-32 defeat they got from St. Anthony's in their previous meeting back in January. Can St. Dominic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
