The Merritt Island Christian Cougars won the last time they faced the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles, and things went their way  on Saturday too. Merritt Island Christian enjoyed a cozy  46-29 win over Calvary Chapel Academy. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Merritt Island Christian.
  Trey Nevad was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 14 points and 14  rebounds. Nevad is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: he's  posted at least eight every time he's  taken the court this season.  Isaiah Scott was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with six  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Merritt Island Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
 Merritt Island Christian on the road again  on Tuesday and play against Calvary Chapel Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on January 23rd. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they will look to defend their home court  on Monday against Synergy Magnet K12 at 5:30  p.m.
