The Fairwinds Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Greenwood Mennonite 54-49. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fairwinds Christian in their matchups with Greenwood Mennonite: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Fairwinds Christian still got an impressive performance from Jaiden Rajis, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Daniel Evans, who scored three points along with four steals.
Blake Mast had an outrageously good game for Greenwood Mennonite as he went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Schrock, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Fairwinds Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Greenwood Mennonite, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Fairwinds Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they will head out on the road to take on Chestertown Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Chestertown Christian Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Greenwood Mennonite surely won't give up without a fight.
