When it comes to explaining why Lakeside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jace Cunningham. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Cunningham has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Reece Remus was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
St. John's/Tipton Catholic's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
