After having lost a blowout in their contest last week, Barnegat were happy to find some success on Friday. They took their matchup against Keyport/Hudson Regional on Friday by a conclusive 28-7 score.
Barnegat got off to a slow start in their match last week, but they had no such trouble against Keyport/Hudson Regional as they cruised to a 21-point first half. Meanwhile, Keyport/Hudson Regional couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. The Barnegat defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game.
Next week Barnegat take on Point Pleasant Boro . Point Pleasant Boro are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Keyport/Hudson Regional will take on Asbury Park at home . Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
