McCallie won against St. Rita on Saturday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. McCallie's pitcher stepped up to hand the Napoleon Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Blue Tornado this season.
McCallie got a great performance from Peyton McAllister as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. What's more, McAllister gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had over his last four contests.
On the hitting side, Chandler Jones was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Carter Noland was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
McCallie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The victory (which was McCallie's third in a row) raised their record to 7-10.
Coming up, McCallie will head out on the road to face off against McMinn County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Napoleon, they will take on Siegel at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Siegel will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Napoleon surely won't give up without a fight.
