Brinkley will challenge Marvell on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Brinkley don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Things haven't been easy for Brinkley, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They suffered a grim 12-42 defeat to Des Arc last Friday. The state rankings had actually given Brinkley a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, Marvell were close but not close enough as they fell 0-2 to Earle.
Everything went Brinkley's way against Marvell the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 30-6 victory.
