Basketball Recap: Prescott Skates Past Mohave with Ease

Prescott won the last time they faced Mohave and things went their way on Friday too. The Prescott Badgers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mohave Thunderbirds 66-14. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Prescott was led to victory by Bella Abt and Addie Prisciandaro. Abt went 10 of 16 en route to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, while Prisciandaro went 9 for 19 on her way to 21 points and six steals. That's the most steals Prisciandaro has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Murdock, who posted four points along with six boards and three steals.

Prescott smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

Prescott has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Mohave, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Prescott will square off against Coconino at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prescott is facing Coconino at the right time seeing as Coconino is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mohave, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Mohave Thunderbirds take on the Flagstaff Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
