Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Riverton). They breezed by the Murray Spartans to the tune of  65-36 on Tuesday. Given the Silverwolves' advantage  in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings  (they are ranked 24th, while the Spartans are ranked 111th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverton was led to victory by  Faythe Stauffer and  Maggie Hamblin.  Stauffer  went 6 for 15  on her way to 18  points in addition to five  boards and three  steals, while  Hamblin  went 5 of 9  on her way to 12  points and seven  rebounds. Stauffer is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last six games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Halle Talbot, who  posted eight points and five  assists.
 Riverton  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 19  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've posted  since  the start of last season.
Riverton is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Murray,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverton will take on Syracuse in a holiday battle at  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Riverton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7  points per game  this season. Murray and Cottonwood will compete for holiday cheer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
