It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bremen Lions had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They managed a 41-37 win over the Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for Bremen who now have seven in a row.
Bremen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eliana Grubbs, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Kincaid, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Hanover Central still got an impressive performance from Skylar Ferry, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabi Comia, who scored four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
She wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Hanover Central were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bremen only racked up four assists.
Bremen is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Hanover Central, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.
Bremen will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against NorthWood at 12:00 p.m. on February 17th. Hanover Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
