There's no place like home for the Grasso Tech Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 68-57 win over Vinal RVT on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Grasso Tech was led to victory by Jerry Santiago and Charis Johnson. Santiago scored 13 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Johnson scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Ryan Gemaly was another key contributor, scoring six points.
The win got Grasso Tech back to even at 5-5. As for Vinal RVT, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grasso Tech will take on Harvard Ellis Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvard Ellis Tech is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Vinal RVT, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prince RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Prince RVT focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
