Prairie Central was beaten by Reed-Custer 44-15 on Tuesday. Prairie Central's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Reed-Custer found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Wollenzien, who scored 18 points along with 6 steals. Madison Keenan was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 9 rebounds.
Prairie Central has fallen quite a ways from their 20-8 record last season and are now at 1-8. As for Reed-Custer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Prairie Central will head out on the road to face off against Normal University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Normal University is ranked 559th, while Prairie Central is ranked 535th). As for Reed-Custer, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Herscher at 6:45 p.m. on December 7th.
