Robinson is 8-2 against Concord since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Robinson Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Concord Spiders at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Robinson is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in North Carolina (they are ranked 101st, while Concord is ranked 361st).
Last Friday, Robinson suffered a tough 59-34 loss at the hands of West Rowan. It was the first time this season that Robinson let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Robinson saw an underclassman step up: Camri Hobbs scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Ceeazia Winfield was another key contributor, scoring no points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Concord came up short against Central Cabarrus on Friday and fell 58-45.
Robinson's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-5. As for Concord, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
Everything came up roses for Robinson against Concord when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 66-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Robinson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
