This season hasn't been kind to The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors, who are still winless after their ninth match. They were beaten by Banks Academy 31-0 on Thursday. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Valiant Cross Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Glenwood and 8-2 Fort Dale Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 72.5% over those games). As for Banks Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Valiant Cross Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Banks Academy will square off against Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Macon-East Montgomery Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Banks Academy is ranked 182nd).
