The Huntingdon Bearcats were the 42-38 winner over the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Huntingdon fell 60-49 to Bellwood-Antis on Wednesday.
It was another big night for Anthony Caracciolo, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks for Bellwood-Antis. It was the first time this season that Caracciolo posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Martin Fatzinger, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Huntingdon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Bellwood-Antis, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntingdon will take on Penns Valley Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Penns Valley Area has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 316 points over their last five matches. As for Bellwood-Antis, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Philipsburg-Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Bellwood-Antis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
