They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Providence Christian Academy 98-96. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr., who shot 7-for-10 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 48 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Devin Bowers was another key contributor, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for M.L. King and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for Providence Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.
M.L. King will be playing in front of their home fans against Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Banks County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banks County is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
