The St. Catherine's Saints will take on the Collegiate Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Catherine's has three straight victories, Collegiate has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
St. Catherine's came out on top against Brunswick Academy on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Saints put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 12-2 win. Considering the Saints have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jenna Keefer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

St. Catherine's was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brunswick Academy only posted a batting average of .179.
Meanwhile, Collegiate came up short against Saint Gertrude on Tuesday, falling 19-4.
St. Catherine's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
Everything went St. Catherine's way against Collegiate when the teams last played two weeks ago, as St. Catherine's made off with a 25-1 victory. Do the Saints have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
