Currituck County entered their tilt with Bertie on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over the Falcons. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Knights just coasted through the last quarter.

Jamie Dance threw for 37 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Dominic Gibbs rushed for 183 yards and a pair of TDs.

Currituck County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bertie, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Currituck County and Northeastern will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Knights will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Bertie, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Manteo at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Falcons' defense better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 26 points per game this season.
