Washington has gone a perfect 4-0 against Westfall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Washington is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
Washington's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Hillsboro by a score of 3-0. That's two games straight that the Blue Lions have won by exactly three runs.
The result came thanks to Will Miller's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has become a key player for Washington: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 4-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aden Osborne, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Washington's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-6 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, Westfall was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Adena. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Noah Stonerock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brenden Tuttle was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Pluta, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Washington's record is now 6-7. As for Westfall, their record now sits at 11-6.
Washington beat Westfall 3-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Will the Blue Lions repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
