The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University Academy Charter in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.
Summit Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kash Pritchard led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Pritchard scored 15 or more points. Bajj Walker was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
University Academy Charter's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Summit Christian Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Academy Charter will take on the Guardians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Michael the Archangel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Gryphons in Missouri (the Guardians are ranked 127th, while the Gryphons are ranked 551st). As for Summit Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against the Falcons at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
