Monrovia hasn't had much luck against Mooresville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. Monrovia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jocelyn Donitzen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Harper Fair also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Monrovia has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Mooresville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Monrovia suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Mooresville in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
