Baseball Recap: Wolfe County Has No Trouble Against Leslie County

Wolfe County won the last time they faced Leslie County and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolves blew past the Eagles 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Wolfe County got a massive performance out of Brayden Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. Jayden Molands was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Wolfe County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leslie County only posted an OBP of .217.

Wolfe County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Leslie County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Wolfe County will venture away from home to challenge Johnson Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Leslie County, they will welcome Morgan County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.79 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
