The Fernandina Beach Pirates won the last time they faced the Parker Braves, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Fernandina Beach came out on top against Parker by a score of 39-32. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Fernandina Beach has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fernandina Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jesse Basse, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chase Landtroop, who scored 12 points.
Fernandina Beach's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Parker, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fernandina Beach will take on Yulee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Yulee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday. Parker won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Duval Charter at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th.
