Terrell County has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Randolph-Clay Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Terrell County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 341 points over their last five matches.
While it was all tied up 32-32 at halftime, Terrell County was not quite the Eagles' equal in the second half on Tuesday. Terrell County fell 80-69 to the Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (55), Terrell County still had to take the loss.
Loss or not, Terrell County got some senior leadership from Shaheed Huckaby and Keavonte Anderson. Huckaby scored 30 points, while Anderson. scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huckaby has scored all season. Michael Carter was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Randolph-Clay can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 68-31 win over Quitman County at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Randolph-Clay.
Randolph-Clay found their leader in underclassman Tyrion Smith, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleen Gibson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Terrell County now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Randolph-Clay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Terrell County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.9 points per game. However, it's not like Randolph-Clay struggles in that department as they've been averaging 57.6 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
