The Rock Springs Tigers lost against the Central Indians back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Rock Springs took a 51-32 bruising from Central. Rock Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Izzy Kelly continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central, scoring 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Kelly has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylin Wade, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Rock Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Springs will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Laramie at 12:00 p.m. on January 13th. Central and Scottsbluff will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Scottsbluff will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 82nd in Nebraska, while Central is ranked 19th in Wyoming).
