Concordia is 9-1 against Lone Jack since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Concordia is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Lone Jack at 5:00 p.m. Concordia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Concordia will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Windsor on Tuesday. Concordia was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Windsor. The victory continues a trend for the Fighting Orioles in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won three in a row.

Karleigh Wilckens made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Concordia got a massive performance out of Ava Mueller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Mueller has posted since back in April of 2024. Addition Roepe also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Concordia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lone Jack got themselves on the board against Butler on Tuesday, but Butler never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mules.
Like Concordia, Lone Jack also got a great game from a two-way player: Kaylee Felix. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. Felix was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tayvia Hook was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Sophia Randolph was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Concordia's record now sits at 4-2. As for Lone Jack, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything went Concordia's way against Lone Jack in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Concordia made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Concordia since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
