Arlington is 2-8 against the Tigers since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Arlington Eagles will be playing at home against the North Bend Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Arlington has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while the Tigers will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Friday, Arlington came up short against the Cougars and fell 55-47. While losing is never fun, Arlington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Cougars are ranked 45th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jaxson Burns, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Koger, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, North Bend Central's game on Saturday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past West Point-Beemer 50-48.
Arlington's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for North Bend Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
