The Mourning Sharks suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by North Miami on the road and fell 73-37. Mourning has struggled against North Miami recently, as their contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Mourning still got an impressive performance from Alvintino Charles, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Charles is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ayden Chapa, who scored two points along with three steals.
Mourning's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for North Miami, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Mourning will head out on the road to square off against Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Edison is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for North Miami, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Carol City at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
