JC Navarro turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because King City is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-9 otherwise.

Navarro's strong effort led King City over Seaside and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are limping into the matchup having lost six straight on the road dating back to last season.
