The defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of sophomore Christian Kirkman, who passed for 176 yards and 1 touchdown, and sophomore Tanner Fahey, who caught passes for 104 yards and 1 touchdown.
The win bumped Edmonds-Woodway's record up to 1-4. Lynnwood are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Edmonds-Woodway will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Snohomish. Snohomish are cruising in on a three-game winning streak. As for Lynnwood, they will face off against Shorewood. Lynnwood's defense better steel itself: Shorewood are averaging 31 points per game.
