Ballard Memorial hadn't done well against Murray recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bombers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

J Riggs and T Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Riggs got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Williams went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Williams has posted over her last eight games. K Keller also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Ballard Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Murray only posted an OBP of .062.

Ballard Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Murray, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

Ballard Memorial will venture away from home to challenge Crittenden County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Murray does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
