The Eisenhower Cadets will head out on the road to face off against the Grandview Greyhounds at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Eisenhower focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
Eisenhower had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 69-58 to Southridge. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eisenhower in their matchups with Southridge: they've now lost eight in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ayana Gallegos, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Lopez, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Grandview made off with a 52-51 victory over Pullman.
Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Grandview, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Eisenhower came up short against Grandview in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 68-58. Can Eisenhower avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
