The Brandon Bulldogs were the 67-52 winner over the Biloxi Indians when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Brandon fell to Biloxi 57-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Brandon came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Biloxi is ranked 94th).
Brandon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kori Taylor, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Nate White who scored 14 points. The match was White's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Braylon Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Biloxi, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Ridgeland at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Ridgeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday. As for Biloxi, they will head out on the road to face off against Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Bay: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Biloxi has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
