Volleyball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayne can now relate to. They came up short against the Tabiona Tigers on Friday, falling 3-0. The Badgers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Wayne lost, don't look at Madilynn Jacobson. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and two aces. Jacobson has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Kayela Gines had an outrageously good game for Tabiona as she had 22 assists and 11 digs. That's the most digs Gines has posted since back in September.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Tabiona, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-12.

Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Valley on the 25th. As for Tabiona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Panguitch on the 25th.
