They put the hurt on Summit Charter Collegiate Academy with a sharp 8-1 victory on Monday. Considering the Spartans have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Gracie Gillis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Mollie Gillis was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Laila Lemus was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Wonderful College Prep Academy came up short against Lindsay on Tuesday, falling 24-3. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wonderful College Prep Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marifer Lira, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Wonderful College Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Strathmore, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Wonderful College Prep Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Strathmore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390. It's a different story for Wonderful College Prep Academy, though, as they've only averaged .188. Will they be able to contain Strathmore's hitters?
