The McNair Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 59-37 defeat to Sonora might stick with them for a while. McNair was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sonora apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Sonora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Curran led the charge by scoring 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Wright, who scored 14 points.
McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sonora, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
McNair will head out on the road to face off against Washington Union at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sonora, they will square off against Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
