Hurricane put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Hoover Huskies as the Hurricane Redskins made off with a 61-35 win. Given the Redskins' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Huskies are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Haas posted five points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for Haas. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Casto, who put up eight points.

Hurricane pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hurricane will host Ironton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoover, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m.
